Loris 'Lorie' A. Jenkins

Loris “Lorie” A. Jenkins, 84, of Luna Pier, MI, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at Hickory Ridge of Temperance. Born April 4, 1934, in Monroe, MI, she was the daughter of Neiland and Mary (Steager) Perry. She married Kenneth D. Jenkins on May 6, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1993. Lorie enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bingo. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie and the Luna Pier Senior Center.
Lorie is survived by her loving children, Christopher Jenkins, Jeanie (Hadrin) McCoy, Gregory (Pamela) Jenkins, Norman Jenkins and Kenneth (Jennifer) Jenkins; brother, Terry (Elaine) Perry; sister, Rose (Michael) Laderach; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois Winkelman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 9, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2214 Manhattan Street, Erie, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.
